All week long; I'm (a) getting lots of smiles and (b) not at all worried about theft!
Still have to re-pack all the bearings (I can practically smell them all smoking when I go "fast") but the alloy seatpost is working out well (except for the 'being just a few cm too short' thing). I'm planning to carve a chunk of wood to fit between the seat and the post, but for now, the bubble wrap is a humorous and economical solution!
